Our school is the oldest continuously operation public school in NSW, celebrating its 155th year in 2005. It continues a proud tradition with the latest in quality teaching and learning.

Initially established on the riverbank, the school now operates on a higher sight. We operate a "family" school with pastoral care and maximizing student potential as our main priorities.

Music lessons are held every Tuesday afternoon. The Department of Education Music Curriculum is used as a guide. The aim is to teach and encourage children to create and make music in a way that is easy and enjoyable. The school has a selection of percussion instruments, tuned instruments and an electric piano.

Students and parents are encouraged to use the facilities including the microwave and other office equipment in order to feel "at home" at school. We have Transition Education program operating on Wednesday for the community, and Macdonald Valley Playgroup operates from the school Tuesdays 9:30 - 11:30am.
